There are many actionable ways you can support suicide prevention in our community—no matter your level of time or commitment.
Become a member
Becoming a member is easy, and everyone is welcome! If you register for our meetings, you will receive an email asking if you would like to be added to the listserv. Everyone on the listserv is added to our member list. If you would like to be on the listserv without registering for meetings, let us know using our contact form.
Join a committee

Explore the following simple and actionable opportunities to take part and help create a community where every life is valued.
As a member, you can put our Coalition logo and website link in your email signature.
Set the Coalition website as your homepage on a web browser (this helps optimize the website and move it up in search engines).
Share the Coalition and 988 on your personal or professional social media accounts.
Set a goal of telling one person per day or week about the Coalition, 988, or a fact about suicide.
Invite a Coalition member to speak at social clubs, community events, or other meetings.
Ask your children’s schools if suicide awareness and prevention education is provided to students. If not, encourage school administrators to reach out to us.
Ask your neighborhood or condo association to post 988 yard signs.
Talk to your healthcare providers (physician, dentist, etc.) about how they could share prevention information with their patients.
Making ‘Safety Plans Work’ pads available in the waiting room
Hosting a brief suicide prevention program for their staff
Posting 988 posters in their office or common spaces
Order free 988 materials from Missouri or the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA):
Leave pens behind at customer service counters, restaurants, banks, gyms, salons, pharmacies, etc.
Take posters to your church, children’s schools, neighborhood library
Leave magnets or stickers in restrooms, parks, buildings, signs
Ask managers of retail stores if you can leave materials with them to use as bag stuffers
